Registration Fee
Early registration is $35 per rider
(until July 1st). Regular registration is $75 per rider (from
July 1st to the day of the tour). Registration fee waived for
teams of 5 or more.
Minimum Fundraising Requirements
(We hope you'll
raise lots more!!)
Prizes for the teams and individuals
who raise the most money will be given at the final ride-in event.
All riders are expected to raise as much as they can. We are not
encouraging children to ride on school days. Children under
18 must be accompanied by an adult. The CABT
holds 10% of the total raised to fund next year's ride, with the
remainder of funds raised going to the beneficiary organizations.

Overnight Accommodations
Riders will need to have sleeping bags, pads, and towels. Showers
will be available at each overnight.
Meals
Breakfast is available pre-ride out each day. Pit stops are placed
in intervals along the route and staffed by volunteers from the
organizations benefiting from the CABT. Lunch stops feature an
event hosted by the local AIDS organization where you get to meet
some of the people who will directly benefit from your great
fundraising. Dinners are buffet style and are an incredible time
to get to know your fellow riders, local organizers and
beneficiaries. While we can’t address everyone’s culinary tastes,
we do make sure there are a variety of foods including something
for vegetarians.
Route (This is last year's route and is for reference only)
Day One – We begin at 7 AM in Hartford’s
Elizabeth Park riding out through Bristol and into Litchfield for
our lunch stop. The post-lunch ride takes you through some of the
most challenging hills in the state as we ride through New Milford
and Squantz Park, ending in Danbury for a well deserved shower,
massage and dinner.
Day Two – we’ve added Stamford to the list of
cities we’ll be stopping by on this year’s ride. Departing Danbury
in the morning, we’re aiming to be in Stamford for an early
afternoon lunch and event with the Mayor. We’ll end our day in
Bridgeport. The details of this day’s route are in the planning
stages and will be posted once finalized.
Day Three – After breakfast, we head out of
Bridgeport through Milford and hugging the shoreline, we ride into
the New Haven Green for a pit stop and event on the green. The
rest of the day’s ride is a beautiful, easygoing ride along the
Connecticut shore. We have a pit stop in Madison and enjoy an
incredible lunch at St. Ann’s Church in Old Lyme. Our day ends in
New London with a reception and dinner.
Day Four – This day is all new!! It will feature 3
loops from which to choose, beginning and ending in the same
place. There will be a 25 mile ride for novices, a Metric Century
(100 K/62 miles) and a US Century (100 miles). Start times will be
staggered to coordinate all riders getting in around the same time
for a grand picnic!
Day Five – This day also features all new rides!!
Our New London contingent will begin early in the morning. At the
same time, we’ll have two Hartford-to-Hartford loops. One loop
will be a 25 mile family ride and the other will be between 60 –
70 miles for those who like more of a challenge. Our goal is to
have all riders converge to be able to be part of the Grand Ride
In as we return to Elizabeth Park for our final event at the Pond
House Café.
Check back often for additional
information and updates.
Rider Support Services
Support vehicles will be available along each day’s route to help
with any rider and/or mechanical problem. Riders will have baggage
transported to each overnight location. We are exploring the
feasibility of providing some shuttles for day riders, but until
we gather more information, day riders are expected to arrange
their own transportation to the start of the day’s ride and home
from the day’s end.
Rider Coaches
Rider Coaches are available for all riders. The Coaches will be
available by phone and/or email. When a new rider registers, one
of the Coaches will contact them as a representative of the CABT.
You can talk to the Coaches about training, fundraising,
nutrition, details about the ride, or other CABT-related issues.
